Adding Memberships to Attendee Profiles
Learn how to register attendees for memberships in Citrus. Streamline participant sign-ups and manage memberships for your sports camp effectively.
Memberships can be created for attendees by both the customer and the organizer. As the organizer, a few different ways to make a membership. 📇
Create from the Memberships Page
- Click 'Financials'
- Select 'Memberships' at the top
- Click 'Add Membership'
- Fill in the required information
- Click 'Create' at the bottom of the page
Create from a contact's details page
- Click on 'Contacts'
- Find and click on the contact you want to add a membership to
- Click 'Add' to the right of Memberships
- Fill in the required information
- Click 'Create' at the bottom
Create when adding or making an order
- Click 'Financials'
- On the 'Orders' tab, click 'Create Order'
- Or select an existing order to add the membership to
- Fill in the required information
- Click 'Add Item'
- Fill out the required information
- Click 'Add Item'
Membership Cycle
Memberships go through a series of statuses as it is created, purchased, and automatically charged each billing period.
- Incomplete: The membership has been created but has not been paid for.
- Scheduled: The membership has been created and is scheduled for an automated payment on a specific date.
- Active: The membership has been paid for in the current billing period.
- Past Due: The membership failed an automated payment for the billing period and will retry in 3 days.
- Unpaid: The membership failed to process, and the previous status was 'Incomplete.'
- Trialling: The membership is currently in the trial period.
- Cancelled: The membership has been cancelled, and will no longer allocate credits or process payments.
- No Payment Method: The customer has no online payment method associated with their account, and the payment will fail when they are automatically charged at the next billing period.
Understanding your memberships plays a key role in your program. Membership status' can tell you the activity behind your membership, whether action needs to be taken, and which memberships need attention. Have your memberships run smoothly through membership status'.
Membership Status:
- Active: the membership payment has been processed successfully, and the membership is active
- Incomplete: a new membership which has not had a payment on it yet
- Past Due: a membership that has an overdue payment. Citrus will re-try the payment method on file once a day for three consecutive days. During these three days, the status will be past due
- Unpaid: a membership that has no payment for that period. The status of the membership changes to unpaid after trying the payment method on file once a day for three consecutive days
- Canceled: the membership has been canceled by a team member. Check the activity section on the attendee profile or the membership page to see who and when the membership was canceled
- Scheduled: a membership that is set to start on a day in the future.
